My 3 Seconds Driving Rule/Changing Lanes Accident Prevention

Hello,

I just thought this is a matter that could be of importance to you!

We all know and/or have heard of the blind spot of not seeing the car on the side of you when trying to make a turn.

If you have had that experience, and  have had the car honk their horns to let you know that you are about to hit their car and cause an accident, than you know what I mean.

The other day, a SUV was about to change lanes directly into my car and thankfully, I instantly moved my car to the right side to prevent a crash. It’s good to pay attention   s for instances like this.

Did I get upset at the driver who had done this, No.  I know that that person probably did not see me at all and there is such a thing as the “blind spot”.

I use the “3sec” rule to not turn until after I have looked and counted to 3, look again and than turn.  If you adopt this rule, I’m sure you will prevent having an accident due to the “blind spot” of not seeing.

My other rule is just don’t think that the person who make a mishap, intentionally did so. Anger in driving has no place on the road.  When you see an angry driver on the road, pull over and let them go.  It’s not worth loosing your life when you encounter someone who don’t respect their right to drive and your right to drive.

Try the “3 sec” rule  as well as religiously using your blinkers.  Be safe! Share this “3 second” rule with others.
