The Importance of Civics In The School Curriculum
Politics and Government Activity are the focus today of many Americans and foreigners. Never in American History have the knowledge of how the government work could be of momentous importance. Lets explore Civics. Civic is all about your rights and how the government works. It is Democracy.
I remember having Civics in school when I was in junior high and found it interesting.
Today, many of have forgotten how the government works and how democracy works for all of us.
Why I’ m writing this article is because of the recent presidential election, from which I have written some articles on, but, as I thought more and more about our democracy being compromised. We all should review the constitution, just as you would your will, and find out what is in it and how it relates to your rights and your life in general.
If your children don’t have civics in school, demand that they include it. Just like the 3 R’s, civics can be just as important! In order to know what your vote mean in the political system, it is important to know just what each section of our government do.
So education, education, education on the ways of the government!
It is never too late to learn something every day.
