NEW JERSEY TOP 50 ATHLETES

Congratulations to all of New Jersey’s athletes who was chosen as New Jersey’s Top 50 Girls Athletes

My Granddaughter, Nia Holden is one of them! Running track is her passion in the track and field sports. Her interested has also been in field hockey. Nia GPA is 4.0 and has received an award as part of the “Memory Project” from the Art department which was presented to her and 4 other students by the Gloucester Board of Education. She was chosen and given a People’s Choice Award by her teacher, Mrs. Marks , atheletic coach and teach at Highland High School in Blackwood, NJ.

Nia has been accepted and will be attending the American University in Washington, DC. She was recruited by the college athletic coach at the American University. Nia is looking forward to attending and continuing her Track and Field goals to excel in her academics, art and being the best she can be.

Nia runs track for the Highland High School under the training of some of the best coaches in the USA.

I’m not sure just what they are going to give them but for sure it must be something nice.

I will be doing a special interview with Nia about her life as an athlete. So, do come back to my blog and read what she has to say about being the athlete she is.

I am thankful for all of the team members on Highland’s track team because in sports, it’s often a team effort to reach the same goal!

Though this is Nia’s last year at Highland High School, I encourage her coaches to follow her progress at the American University and for Nia to visit her high school when she can, to give encouragement to the Highland High School track team who will continue their athletic achievements at Highland High School in Blackwood, New Jersey.

The coaches should be awarded and given high praises for all of their sacrifices for all they have given Nia and all the athletes at Highland High School. This is a school has shown that they are a High School of high Excellence in all subjects.
